I have been playing in the Algarve for 17 years in bands like Too Hot 2 Handle and The Retrospex.  Litte Walter is my blues harp hero, along with Lee Brilleaux of Dr Feelgood.

I got my first real six string – a Hohner Zambesi – in '68 and have never looked back. The best guitar I ever bought was a classic Carvin DC125. I put my slide guitar together from an Australian Pit Bull kit.

From the classic blues of Jimmy Reed and Willie Dixon, through the golden ages of R’n’B (Muddy Waters, Rolling Stones, Dr Feelgood) to our own compositions rooted in local experience, Juke Joint Blues Algarve play music everyone loves. Fast, slow, happy, sad, groovy, pulsating – we’ve got it all!
